Weekend

Didn't do a whole lot! Rod worked Friday night and Saturday morning. We were suppose to go to a surprise birthday party Saturday night, but we did not have a sitter for Paige. We just stayed home and watched Disney movies with Paige. She is quite fond of Finding Nemo and Toy Story!

Sunday we went to Bloomington. Paige fell asleep just as we got into town, so I went into Kohl's and Rod stayed in the car with Paige and listened to the race while she napped. I got some really cute spring and summer clothes and shoes for Paige and I got her an Easter dress, white sweater, and lil white shoes. After I spent an hour shopping at Kohl's we met Dad, Edie, and Michelle at Logan's for lunch. It was nice to see them even if it was only for an hour. Then we headed to Furniture Row and bought a new rocking recliner. It will be so nice to have a comfy new chair that doesn't squeak to rock the new baby in. It won't be in for 2 weeks, but that is okay, because we will have to rearrange some stuff and throw out the old 2 chairs we have now. Unless someone wants them of course. Free to good home - Blue recliner and Beige rocking recliner.

Dr. Appt.

Went to the Dr. today for a check up. Doc had me nervous because it took her quite a while to find the heartbeat. Thankfully she did find it and it was beating strong! Baby was way up high instead of down low like they usually are at this stage. The nurse took some more blood samples from me to check for down syndrome, a typical routine test. I go back in 4 weeks for another check up and we get to have another sonogram that day to. Hopefully baby will cooperate and we will be able to tell if baby-to-be is gonna be a girl or a boy!

Update

February went by really fast! Lots of Doctor appointments and busy weekends. Paige had her 2 year check up on the 9th. Doc said she is perfect, but of course we already new that! LOL! Then she had a check up on the 11th in Peoria with her Urologist. Everything looked good and she wants to see Paige back in August, because she is sure to be potty trained! I'm thinking Yeah right! But whatever! I had my first real doctor appointment on the 18th. She said everything was looking good and she just gave me more medicine for my nausea. Nausea is still frequent, but not as bad as when I had it with Paige, Thank GOD! My next doctor appointment is March 18th. She said we would be able to listen to the heartbeat then. Which I'm really excited about, but kinda nervous, since a few of my friends have lost their babies here recently! I can't imagine the pain they must be going through!

Also on another sad note, my best friends father past away, very unexpectedly! My heart aches for her everyday. I just hope with time it will get a little easier. He was an amazing person and taken way to early!

On a lighter note, Rod and I didn't do a whole lot for Valentines's day or my birthday (which was the day after). We were planning on going to Bernardi's for dinner, but they were so packed that night, that we went to Delong's to eat instead. The next weekend Rod and I made it to Bernardi's, just the two of us, then we also went uptown and saw the movie Dear John. It was pretty good! The 19th we went to Scotty's for the annual Schulz fish fry, it was yummy as usual and was nice to see pretty much Rod's whole family!

On the 27th Rod and I sent Paige to stay the night at Peg ans Stubby's house. We went to Jerry's Tap in Ransom for dinner and a comedy show. Matt and Crystal Gourley met us over there and we had such a good time! Rod was even part of some of the jokes. Since everyone knows he runs marathons! LOL
