Doctors and Pumpkins!

Yesterday's visit to the doctor took forever! Our appt. was at 9:30 and we didn't get home until  noon! Since we've had Jake everytime we've gone to that hospital, whether it's an appointment for Jake or myself, it's taken literally all day! They got a new computer system, so they can keep all the records, instead of having paper files anymore. I thought the purpose was to make things easier, but it's just not working, it's really ridiculous!
Anyway, Jake went in for his 2 month check up and he weighs 13 lbs. 10.5 oz.(90th percentile) and was 23.4 inches long (70th percentile). The inside of his nose is really inflamed and swollen, so he got saline nose drops he gets twice a day and a nose spray that he gets before bedtime. Hopefully, that will make is lil nose all better! Doc was also a little concerned with his fat rolls on his legs. Apparently one leg has one more fat roll than the other leg and this is an early sign of a hip problem. She said if it's not better by his 4 month appointment that she will issue an x-ray on his hips. :(   Jake still has one testicle that is swollen, but she didn't seem to concerned with that, she said it will usually go down by his first birthday. Other than that he is a healthy boy!

Paige on the other hand, had broken out with a rash on her face 3 days ago, luckily I took her with because she has Impetigo. Basically they are just little red dots on her face, but it spreads quickly. So far she hasn't complained about any itching, but she is not very fond of the cream I have to put on her face 3 times a day!

Last night we carved our pumpkins. Daddy made the big scary one! and I made mine and Paige's. Paige is so girly and hates to get her hands dirty, so God forbid she put her hand inside that pumpkin and yank the guts out! She just told me what shapes to make the eyes, nose, etc... LOL!!

Grandma Peg & Grandpa Stubby took Paige to Betty Murphy's Annual Pumpkin Carving Party, but of course Grandpa had to carve the pumpkins! Paige got an award for her kitchen pumpkin and Grandpa was so creative carving Jake's name in his!

Rader Family Farm

We went to Rader Farms in Bloomington to get pumpkins and to let Paige play and see the animals. She had a blast playing and we all got to pick out a pumpkin, even Jake got a mini one!
