Michelle's 8th Grade Graduation

Congratulations to Shell for making it through Jr. High! She has grown up so fast, and looked beautiful! I think it's the first time I've seen her in a dress since she was probably 4 years old!

Happy Birthday Peg!

Saturday night we went to Peg & Stubby's house for Peg's 60th Birthday party. It was a good time and the weather was beautiful! There was some family there, but mostly friends. I didn't know a good portion of them, but we had a good time and stayed until Paige got to be a handful and bedtime was clearly needed!

Sunday I got all the laundry caught up and just did stuff around the house. We went to Wal-mart and bought Paige some sunscreen, swimming diapers, and a new floaty thing, so her and daddy could go swimming on Monday while, mommy was slaving away at work! So not fair!! I was glad to hear how much she liked the water though, last year I had to hold her the whole time and she would never go in her lil floaty device.

I am in desperate need of a new swim suit and shorts for this summer. Hopefully I can get to Bloomington Friday after work or maybe on Sunday sometime. The rest of the week looks pretty busy. Wednesday night is Alex's pre-school graduation. Thursday night is Michelle's 8th grade graduation and Saturday is Michelle's graduation party.

We are entering our busy season at work and my boss leaves for Israel on Thursday for 2 1/2 weeks. While she is gone, lucky me gets to be in charge! I think it's gonna be a very stressful 2 1/2 weeks! UGH!! Hopefully we won't have any major problems, and hopefully that's not just wishful thinking!

Eventful Weekend!

Thursday the 13th, I had another Dr. Appt. Everything is looking just great and heartbeat was strong! Then we went up to ICU to see Rod's Grandpa Meier, he had knee surgery on Tuesday and had some heart issues during the surgery. I guess the lower and upper chambers were beating separately, which isn't suppose to happen, so they put him in ICU for a few days. They ran tests to check to see if he had a heart attack or stroke during the surgery, but those results were negative. He is starting to do better and should be moved to Evenglow for recovery sometime today hopefully.

Friday was my niece Michelle's 15th birthday, it's hard to believe she will be going into high school next fall! I was 15 when she was born, but it seems like only yesterday! I can't believe how fast time goes by! Rod had the night off, so he mowed the lawn when I got home from work and we were planning on sitting by the fire pit, but I was just too tired and I went to bed the same time as Paige did. So much for spending an evening with my hubby!

Saturday, we got up and headed outside to play and do some yard work. Rod weed whacked and trimmed some of our smaller bushes around the house, while Paige and I picked up all the branches. She is such a good helper!  Mom stopped by with Grandma and Grandpa Kauffman right before lunch time, so it was nice to have a little visit. They were out and about shopping for flowers. After nap time, we dropped Paige off with Aunt Kari at Peg & Stubby's house. While Rod and I went to Erin Mehn and Kyle Hart's wedding. Erin looked absolutely beautiful in her dress!  It was such a nice wedding, small and intimate! They both cried, which of course made the pregnant lady (Me) cry too!  The reception was held out at Jesse & Hilary's Bauman's house. They have a huge shed which was decorated beautifully! We had such a good time, Rod had plenty of drinks for the both of us and I danced the night away with my big 'ole belly! When we got to Peg and Stubby's house at midnight Paige was still up! The onry lil booger was watching Peg decorate a cake.

Sunday, I was hoping to get to sleep in a little, but I should've known better! Paige was up at 8:00 and ready to start the day. We waited around for daddy to start moving then we headed outside again to play and cut down more bushes. Rod also cleaned out the garage some and organized it better. Then we headed inside to clean the house.

Today, is the anniversary of Rod and I's first date! Hard to believe we've been together 7 years already. Everyone always tells me how lucky I am to have him, and I couldn't agree more! He is the best husband and I am very grateful that we get to share our lives together! I couldn't imagine my life without him and I pray I never have to! I LOVE YOU ROD!

Bachelorette Party

Saturday was Erin Mehn's bachelorette party. We started it off with a spa day at Fox-n-Hounds in Bloomington. I got a pregnancy massage, which was like Heaven! Although a little awkward at the same time because it was the first time I had a guy give me a massage. After that, I got a pedicure which was a real treat also. I think everyone really enjoyed getting pampered. Although the girl who did Erin's hair was a real bitch! It figures that she would get the one with a attitude! After all that, we headed back to Pontiac for dinner at Senior Tequila. A new restaurant that most of us hadn't tried yet. I'm not big on Mexican food at all, but thanks to Heather pointing out a grilled chicken dish with cheese on top, I got a more than satisfying meal! It was very yummy! Most the girls ordered 44 oz margaritas, which were huge! Erin managed to down all of hers and part of Becky's and also did about 4 shots while we were there. She was feeling pretty good by the time we left!

After dinner, we went to the Engine Room for a couple drinks. Well Sprite for me (Whoohoo). Then we went to CJ"s for a few more drinks. About this time (11:30) most the girls were getting a little goofy, and decided to move on to another bar, so I decided the pregnant girl should head on home. Rod had went to the races in Fairbury and was suppose to pick Paige up from his parents, but he wasn't even home when I got there. So I went and got Paige, poor girl had just fallen asleep, but I figured I should move her then so she and Grandma could sleep in the next morning. Rod got home about 20 minutes after we did and we all crashed for the night.

Sunday wasn't as exciting, but still pretty productive. Rod had to work day shift so Paige and I cleaned house and did laundry. She's getting to be quite the little helper! Hopefully that will continue when the new baby comes!

Carnival

Friday night Peg and I took Paige and Alex uptown to the carnival. I was worried that Paige wouldn't want to ride anything, but I should have known better since Alex was with us! Paige tends to want to copy everything that Alex does, so she was more than willing to get on all the rides! There were 4 rides Paige could ride and 5 that Alex could ride, so they rode everything twice and played 1 game, were they just pulled a frog out of the water. They both won small prizes. So of course Paige had to have the exact same dolphin that Alex had picked out! I was so happy both the girls really seemed to enjoy the carnival and hopefully Rod will get to go with us next year. He was a little disappointed he didn't get to see what a big girl Paige was being! Afterwards, we met Stubby and Karen at Delongs for dinner. We had to wait a little while for a table, but not too long. I guess everyone had the same idea we did. About the time we were finished eating Kari showed up to meet some friends for drinks, so she yacked with us for a bit. Paige was exhausted by the time we got home, and pretty much went right to bed. Here are a few pics of the girls on the rides.
