Rest in Peace Grandpa!

July 20th the good Lord decided to take Grandpa Meier and free him of all his pain. It's been difficult for the whole family. I'm sure tomorrow & Saturday will be even harder, but we are glad he is no longer suffering! We will hold on to the dear memories we have of him and we will be forever grateful he was a part of our lives. A good man he was and he will be deeply missed! I find a bit of comfort thinking Grandpa Meier along with Grandma & Grandpa Broerman and my Grandma & Grandpa Ehrhardt are going to be the first ones to hold baby-to-be before he is graciously delivered to us here on Earth. Maybe that might seem like nonsense to some, but I like to think it's true :)

Grandpa's obituary can be viewed at the link below.

Bye Bye Sail Boats!

We stripped the sailboat wallpaper in our spare bedroom and are going to paint it and move Paige into that room, so baby-to-be can have the smaller bedroom which is right next to Rod and I's. Surprisingly, we found some lovely artwork and and info about the McCain family who lived in the house previously. There was also a note stating that Mildred Walker who lived in the house, back in 1904 also left a note on the wall, but we have not found that.

Popular Clothes: Keds, Swatch, Guess, Soon, Esprit

This one says: They put a picture of the family in the closet between the wall and baseboard. However, we did not remove the baseboards, so the pic will remain there!

This one lists the ages of the children: 7, 12, & 14

Paige's New Pets

Cousin Michelle surprised Paige, as well as Rod and I with a fish aquarium all set up in Paige's room the other night. Paige was so excited to see her 3 new friends and she loves to feed them every morning! Sometimes a little more than needed, but she will learn. She named them Nemo, Nemo, and Fishy.
