Over the Weekend

Friday after work, Paige and I ran down to Bloomington. We went to the maternity store and I got some more clothes for work. Paige was such a good girl, while I tried things on. They have a basket of toys for kids to play with, so it kept her quite entertained. After that, we ran down to Kohl's. I need to get a gift off of a wedding registry for my friends bridal shower on Saturday. So we got that, I bought a couple sleepers for baby-to-be, and Paige got a new pair of shoes and a toy, since she was such a good lil shopper. Then we went to Fazoli's for dinner. Paige loved their bread sticks! Paige fell asleep before we even got down Veteran's Parkway, which was good because right before the Towanda exit; a semi completely ran us off the interstate! There was a bus in front of me and the semi was like 2-3 cars behind us. It was raining kinda hard, so I was going exactly the speed limit. Which the cars behind me didn't seem to mind, but this semi came trucking up like a bat out of hell! and decided to come on over to our lane, I was completely on the shoulder at this point trying to slow down and honking my horn like a mad woman! Then he finally realized I was there and he moved back over. So needless to say we got off the interstate in Towanda and I had a little breakdown! After a few minutes I collected myself and we made it home on Old 66.

Saturday, Rod kept Paige while I went to Erin's bridal shower. Her aunts did a beautiful job decorating. I wish I would've took my camera, because the centerpieces on the tables were so cleaver and pretty! It was nice to see everyone that was there and celebrate with Erin.

Rod played cards in Lexigton that night and got third place. He won about $800.00, so that was a fantastic surprise! We are hoping to get a fence put up this summer, so that will be going into that fund!

Sunday, we had breakfast at Peg and Stubby's, then Rod and his dad finished installing outlets in the downstairs of the garage. Paige and I did some laundry and other stuff around the house. When Rod come back inside we went through all his computer stuff finally. So the bedroom is pretty much cleared out, except for furniture and some garage sale items I have for Peg's sale in June.

I guess that's about it, next weekend is Erin's bachelorette party and we are doing a spa day at Fox and Hounds, which I'm sooo ready for! Bring on the prego massage!

Happy Birthday Rod!

It was so nice to have Rod home ALL Weekend! He took Friday night off and Saturday was his birthday, so we cooked out all weekend and had some good family time! I got the house cleaned on Saturday and Rod and his dad ran the wires for electricity out in the garage. Stubby said he would come over on his free time and install the outlets and switches. Once that gets done Rod can insulate the walls and then we will actually have real walls, instead of seeing all the sharp nails from the siding sticking through! Then we can put up shelves and get things organized out there! It's a disaster right now!

Sunday after breakfast, I ran to Bloomington and bought some maternity clothes. Since Paige was born in January, all I have are winter clothes. Which doesn't do me a lot of good this round! I've been working little by little to get our spare room cleaned out. We want the new baby to be right next door to our room, so I think we've decided to move Paige to the spare room. However, blue sailboat wallpaper isn't really going to work for her! The room is a lot bigger, but has a tiny closet! Pretty much all that is left besides furniture is ALL Rods computer stuff! I think he has 2-3 computer towers, 1 or 2 monitors, keyboards and the list goes on. Which I have no idea what he wants to do with, so he can figure that out.

Drum Roll Please!!!

Just got done at the Dr. and they were pretty sure that we are having a BOY!! Rod was super ecstatic! I was shocked, more than anything, I was so certain it was going to be another girl. However, a boy will be a new adventure!

Boy or Girl????

Excited to go to the Dr. tomorrow. We have another sonogram and should find out whether we are expecting a boy or a girl. Then I can start getting the room put together and it will be nice to know if we have to buy a whole new wardrobe or if I can just pull all Paige's clothes up from the basement.

Afternoon at the Park

Rod & I took Paige to the park for the first time this spring. She absolutely loves it! She goes all the time with her daycare provider, but it was fun to see for ourselves just how much she really loves playing on all the equipment! I'm sure we will be making plenty more trips since the weather is getting to be so nice!

The slide is defiantly her favorite part!

Paige's New Sandbox

Paige loves her new sandbox! However, she is not fond of getting dirty so she won't actually get into it. She just leans over and shovels the sand into the buckets! She is a true girly girl and doesn't not like getting her hands dirty!

Easter Weekend

Saturday was the annual Simpson Easter Egg Hunt. Rod had to work unfortunately, so Paige and I went to the egg hunt without him then later went back to eat Easter dinner with the family. Paige got 2 outfits from her Aunt Karen & Uncle Jerold, Fisher Price Little People, a coloring book, and candy from her Aunt Kari, and she got a dress, sunglasses, braclets, and candy from Grandma Peg and Grandpa Stubby. Above are a few pics of Paige looking for eggs.
Sunday morning Paige found what the Easter Bunny left for her: 2 Books, The Disney Tarzan DVD, and a Tinkerbell Doll. She couldn't hardly wait for me to get the doll out of the box!
We had the Ehrhardt Easter at noon. Paige got a huge bubble bucket from Grandma & Grandpa. I see lots of bubble blowing in the near future! I finally got to see my cousin, Elizabeth's new baby in person. Maci is 4 months already and so cute! Afterwards we then took Paige home for a nap. Then headed to Saunemin to Mom and Joe's house. Paige got to look for eggs again, but this time it was inside the house. She found all 41 eggs, with a little help from myself and her cousin Michelle. Amongst all the candy, she also got a garden set, a golf club set, a coloring book and crayons, stickers, a couple outfits, a stuffed duck, and a giant bouncy ball for outside.
Today dad picked up our new rocking chair from Furniture Row and delivered it to us. I will post a pic soon, it's oh so comfy!
